Swim Lessons Offered by City of Palmdale

– The City of Palmdale’s parks and recreation department is offering swim lessons for all ages at the City’s four pools: Courson, Marie Kerr, Oasis, and McAdam.

Information and registration is available at www.cityofpalmdale.org/aquatics . The next session will begin July 13. Registration will be available at 7 pm on July 10.

“We are proud to be able to offer swim lessons this summer for our residents while taking COVID-19 precautions,” said Palmdale’s Director of Parks and Recreation.

“Water safety is a top summer priority, and our aquatics team is well-known for providing outstanding swim lessons and was awarded the Learn-to-Swim Gold Provider in 2018 and 2019 by the Red Cross National Provider Recognition Committee,” Smith added.

Drowning is the fifth leading cause of unintentional injury death for people of all ages, and the second leading cause of injury death for children ages 1 to 14 years.
