Schedule Change for Saturday Fireworks Celebration

PALMDALE – The City of Palmdale and the City of Lancaster will present a Fireworks Celebration at the Palmdale Amphitheater on Saturday, Sept. 3, 2022.

Due to the Excessive Heat Warning issued by the National Weather Service, gates for this event will not open until 5:30 p.m. High temperatures are forecasted on the day of the event, so please plan accordingly by bringing handheld umbrellas and factory sealed bottles of water.

Kicking off the evening will be The Platinum Groove, entertaining with a live super show of platinum rock, soul, pop, dance, and oldies concert beginning at 6 p.m.

Following the performance after dusk will be an amazingly colorful fireworks show choreographed to music.

Tickets are still available at www.PalmdaleAmphitheater.com. Admission is $5 for adults with free admission tickets available for children 12 and under. Everyone entering must have a ticket.  Parking is free but limited. Expect large crowds carpooling and alternate forms of transportation are encouraged. Additional parking will also be available at The Highlands Christian Fellowship and Highland high School, with a 20 minute walk to the park.

Food and beverage concessions will be available on site. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and/or low back chairs to sit on. No outside food, fireworks, alcohol, pets or EZ ups are allowed. Factory sealed water bottles are allowed and highly encouraged.

Pet & Livestock Suggestions

If you live near the Amphitheater and have pets, we remind you to take extra precautions on Sept. 3 between 7:30 p.m. & 8:30 p.m. The firework show is approximately 17 minutes in duration.

If you would like to shelter your animal in your vehicle or trailer, you are welcome to park in the parking lot at Pelona Vista Park. Animals must never be left unattended, only dogs and cats are allowed in the park on a leash, all other animals must remain in vehicle or trailer. Please take necessary precautions for the heat, including providing your own water for your pets or livestock. Pelona Vista Park must be vacated by 10:00 p.m.

The Palmdale Amphitheater is generously sponsored by Antelope Valley Medical Center, Visit Palmdale, IBEW & NECA Local 11, WM, American Medical Response, ValleyWide Dental, Snow Orthodontics, Options for Youth, Ventura Graphix, and Antelope Valley Mosquito and Vector Control District.
